Paul Rudd is a talented actress who has recently become labeled as "cynical Straight". Recently he was seen throwing sarcastic comments beside his friend as a fun movie Role Models, I love you man, and Dinner for Schmucks, despite showing his versatility in films such as news anchor and the shape of things. My Idiot Brother to give a chance to play the exact opposite of her unfortunate typecasting Rudd, and the result is a warm, funny and performance at all successful. Supported by a strong cast, My brother is an idiot laughter large, but Rudd as the heart of the film, seems to have always got laughs.
Ned (Rudd) is a nice guy, but too trusting. After going to jail for selling weed to a uniformed officer, Ned sets out to find a place to live and, above all, his faithful dog, Willie Nelson. Unfortunately, her former lover (Kathryn Hahn) is that none of that and Ned is forced to move in with her sister Liz (Emily Mortimer), Miranda (Elizabeth Banks) and Nat (Zooey Deschanel) and Willie Nelson to return parcels. However, every one of his sisters dealing with their own luggage. Liz's marriage is in danger, Miranda is about to have a breakthrough article for Vanity Fair, and Nat began to feel separated from his fiancee (Rashida Jones), Cindy. Participation in life NED highlights the latent beneath the surface of the lives of their sisters, but not to blame for their problems.
Most of my idiot brother has a model: Ned lives with her sister, accidentally discovers Ned problem in the life of her sister, Ned accidentally bring a problem to light, it pulls the sister live with another sister. However, the film never feels redundant, as the performance director Jesse Peretz are large and continue alternating between the machinations of the sisters that the pace is kept alive.
Rudd performance worth the price of admission. Ned is not really an idiot as he is very confident. As he explains to another character, who trusts the people because he believes that if you treat people as you want, up to their expectations. Ned are not necessarily stupid or childish, as it has a hint of cynicism. Unfortunately, the film lacks the real strength of Ned to grow and learn some caution, but it has a character so adorable that stagnation does not become a big problem.
Rudd is not only terrible, but it has a wonderful support cast backup. Although the film is only 95 minutes, each player has time and talent to build their character. Apart from Rudd, Steve Coogan are the soloists like Dylan, Liz's husband brat, "and TJ Miller as Billy, the boyfriend of former New incredibly friendly Ned. Coogan and Miller are just a handful of scenes, but they are bright . Coogan is so good playing a douchebag but in a way that feels fresh and Miller is so nice at the end of the movie I wanted to see a series about the adventures of Ned and Billy.
My brother is a film Idiot easy, and broad comedy, while hilarious, it will not really stay with you. But in its relatively short duration, it is great fun and full of great comic performances. It held together by Rudd, proving once again that while it may be a reliable straight man, he has so much to offer to the public.
