The inflexible sixty-minute & thirty-minute blocks are no more. Now you can watch a show without the ads in between, whether the show is sixty seconds or ten minutes, what you see is what you get. The networks are more literal now with myriads of sites to view from. And gone is the network-exclusive programming wherein you can only watch such show at such channel and time slot. No need to record your favorite shows, which are shown at a schedule you cannot watch in. And the medium of delivery has also changed, we can watch from laptops, iPods, iPads, & cellular phones.If you keep missing episodes of "Lost" because of a new schedule in your shift, you can easily catch up by watching it on YouTube in the weekend. A lot of video hosting sites can be found in the Net nowadays, that searching for a missed episode won't take you long.The lifestyle of the couch potato has changed. He no longer has to leave Friday nights free from any activity because he has to watch a movie. No longer can a friend coming over ask, "What's on?"
